Billy Ray Brown, 79, of 360 Substation Road, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at his home.

Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, June 11th at the Peter’s Family Cemetery in Dunn, NC, with Danny Brown officiating. 

Billy, born March 28, 1942 in Sampson County, was the son of the late George Leonard Brown and Nina Barefoot Brown.  He worked with Waste Industries.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, five brothers, one step-daughter, two granddaughters, and one grandson.

Survivors include; wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Ann Bass Brown; children, Christy Smith of Dunn, Danny Brown (Tonya) of Newton Grove, Tammy Brown of Dunn, Lorie Lambert (David) of Clinton, Terry Tidwell of Clinton and Junior Faircloth; and sisters, Jeannette Brown and Gloria Cobb; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
