David "Van" Alphin

David Alphin Obituary

David Van Alphin, 35, of 2043 Parker Memorial Rd., passed away in Sampson County.

A memorial service to celebrate Van’s life will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, April 11th, on the front lawn of Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2137 Odom Rd. Clinton, with the Rev. Chris Butler officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.

Van, born October 20, 1985 in Sampson Co., was the son of David Wayne Alphin and Debbie Vann Alphin. Van was a graduate of Midway High School and had a passion for farming. Van had a big heart and would help anyone in need.  He was known for his good manners and always being polite to others.  He had a great love for his niece, Zaylin.  Van was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Coonie Vann.

Van is survived by: his parents, David and Debbie Alphin, brothers: Kane Alphin and wife Santana, Jacob Alphin, niece, Zaylin Rose Alphin, maternal grandmother, Hattie Jane Vann, paternal grandparents, Forest and Janice Alphin, Aunts and Uncles: Cynthia and Bill Brinkley, Amy and James Fields, Frank Alphin, and Barbara and Shane Butts.

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this most difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church, c/o R.F. Fann, 1575 High House Rd., Clinton.

Attendees of the Memorial service for Van are asked to please wear facemask and practice social distancing.
