Floyd Matthis Burke, 73, of 1992 Ezzell Road, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Rex Hospital

Services will be held privately.

Floyd, born November 16, 1947 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Berkley Floyd Buke and Margaret Juanita Matthis Burke. He was a retired Mechanic Supervisor with the NC Dept. of Transportation. He was a Veteran of the US Army, a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and a lifelong farmer.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Darlene Brinson Burke, son Will Burke and wife Jamie, grandchildren Zac and Alex, special friends Felipe Escamilla and children and special canine companion LuLu.
