Glenda Faye Simmons Foss, 74, of College Street, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Chris Webb and Rev. Dr. Mike Cummings officiating.  Interment will follow in the cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 3 PM, Wednesday before the service at the church and at other times at the home of her son, Gary, at 6427 Mosley Road, Clinton.

Glenda was born March 11, 1948 in Bladen County and was the daughter of the late Oliver Green Simmons and Ada Bell Freeman Simmons.  She was a seamstress and a Certified Nursing Assistant.  Glenda was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lee Foss, grandson Ian Chase Foss, daughter in law Patty Foss and siblings Carol Brewington and Deloris Simmons.

Survivors include; children, Gary Lee Foss of Clinton, DeAnna (Dena) Foss (Robert Malpass) of Sneads Ferry, and Ginger Holloway and husband Johnny of Mt. Olive; grandchildren, Jordon Ray Herring, Maxx Grady, Shandi Grady, Nykierra Holloway, Kelsi Jenkins, and Britney McCullen; great-grandchildren, Meadow Jenkins, Jaylah Allen, Khole Herring and Camdyn Aycock; sisters, Sarah Davis and Janice Odom; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, that she loved so very much.
