Jesse Rudolph Lee, Sr., 76, of 16 Lee Gaddy Road, passed away Saturday October 16, 2021 at Betsy Johnson Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, October 20th at the Church of God of Sabbath Day, 786 Pugh Road, Clinton, NC, in the American Legion Building with Elder  Neal Brantley officiating.  Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and at other times at the home.

Jesse, born May 6, 1945 in Portsmouth, VA, was the son of the late Lonnie Lee and Pearl Lockamy Lee.  He was a retired furniture refinisher and attended the Church of God Sabbath Day.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Lonnie Lee, Jr., Jerry M. Lee, Marie Beale and Edna Tew. 

Survivors include: wife of 51 years,  Betty Earlene Strouth Gaddy Lee; siblings, John C. Lee and Janet of Fayetteville, Louise L. Gardner of Fayetteville and Carolyn Larson and Jim of Rocky Mount; children, Cynthia Lee Whaley of Kentucky, Jesse Lee, Jr. and Theresa of Four Oaks, Mike Gaddy and Darleene Gaddy of Alabama,  Donald Gaddy and Tammy of Mebane, and Jonathan Gaddy of Dunn; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Gaddy Pippin, Ashlynn Gaddy, Justin Gaddy,  Jessica Lee, Luke Whaley and Dylan Lee; six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Theresa Strickland of Clinton.
