Faison,
William Staley Massey, 81, of 3733 Lake Artesia Road, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his home.
Funeral will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, September 23rd at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Burchette and Rev. Ray Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 1 PM – 2 PM, Thursday just before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
Staley who was born January 2, 1940, in Sampson County, was the son of the late Lorenza Dowl Massey and Gertie Idell Bradshaw Massey. He was a supervisor in road maintenance department with the City of Clinton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Annette Massey and brother, Dewey Massey.
Survivors include: wife of 59 years, Linda Frances Grady Massey; children, William Keith Massey (Wendy) and Judy Ann Coombs (Steve); grandchildren, Emily Bell (Mike), Ashley Massey, Brian Kolakowski (Tiffany), Milynda Kolakowski, Justin Kolakowski, Kristine Kolakowski, Michaela Sessoms (Jeremy), Cody Coombs (Rachel); great-grandchildren, Sully Layne Case, Parker Bell, Cole Grant Gernale, Noah Bell, Violet Kolakowski, Georgiana Ruth Coombs; brothers, Edwin Massey (Bertie), Wilbert Massey (Rosita), Elizabeth Lane, Freeman Massey, Leamon Massey (Hettie); and many special friends.
